What is Peninsula Surf Club?

The Peninsula Surf Club after school program consists of all skill levels from absolute beginners to advanced competition surfers, and our instructors are trained to provide guidance and instruction to help people of all skill levels develop their individual surfing journey. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe and nurturing environment for all students, to provide an outdoor activity after school to keep our kids engaged in healthy choices outside of school. We develop and foster a deep sense of team work, self-confidence, worth, achievement, leadership, community, friendship, and a never ending love for our ocean and environment.

Eligibility: Peninsula Surf Club is open to all students ages 8-15 of all skill levels and experience. We recommend that the same standards of conduct and academics are upheld as if participating in a school-related activity.

Safety: The ocean is a beautiful place. Without knowledge of how and when to interact, it can be dangerous. The club exists to help our kids learn the water-knowledge skills necessary to enjoy the surf, regardless of what mode of wave-riding. The club is not a replacement for swim classes, junior guards, etc, but an extension of that knowledge.

Ocean conditions/Weather/Cancellations- The ocean is always changing and can be unpredictable. The Directors reserve the right to cancel/ modify any practice or event based upon current ocean conditions. Every attempt will be made to notify parents/guardians that the practice or event had to cancel or be modified. Often, the call to cancel is made on the beach and we will communicate via phone and/or email.

Illness/Injury: If a student becomes ill or injured during club, we will contact the parent/guardian to pick up your student. If the parent/guardian cannot pick up the camper, we will then begin calling emergency contacts to have the student picked up. Ocean Experience will take whatever steps necessary to obtain medical care for your child in the event your child becomes injured.

Your student is our up most important priority, and we aim to provide a safe, educational and fun environment for each and every student as well as their families. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us any time, we are here to assist you and your student.

We look forward to having your student join us for Peninsula Surf Club!
