That’s right: it’s finally time for Ocean Beach Surf and Skate’s 6th Annual Skate Jam at the Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off! Previously held on Cable Street between Newport Avenue and Santa Monica, this year the Skate Jam will be held in parking lot of Ocean Beach Surf and Skate’s new shop, located in the heart of the street fair at 4976 Newport Avenue. The Skate Jam will feature our all new 3ft Mini Ramp as well as an awesome street course, a DJ spinning killer beats, great prizes and tons of free swag. Open skate sessions will run before and after the skate contest which will kick off at 1:00 pm. Following the jam will be a live demo from some of the industry’s hottest skateboarders, as well as an awards ceremony for contest winners and contestants. The 6th Annual OB Street Fair Skate Jam is FREE and open to all ages and abilities. Entry forms are available at Ocean Beach Surf and Skate. Helmets are required for all participants under 18 years old.
Skate Jam Schedule
10:00 am – 12 noon: Open Skate
12 noon – 1:00 pm: Practice
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Skate Contest
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Live Demo
4:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Open Skate

 

Surf on the Silver Screen at The Pearl Hotel

Join Ocean Beach Surf & Skate for Surf on the Silver Screen at The Pearl Hotel, held on the last Tuesday of every month from 8:00p.m-10:00p.m. Check out the latest surf flicks under the stars on the pool side patio at The Pearl Hotel while enjoying their great atmosphere, free raffles and burger & beer specials!
